Im Eifel Gasthaus processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

• Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence by letter, app, email, by telephone and/or via other websites)

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 18 years old. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 18. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent.

Purpose of processing personal data

Im Eifel Gasthaus processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Handling your payment, sending any newsletter and/or advertising flyer or card, Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services. Informing you of changes/modifications to our services and products.

Im Eifel Gasthaus also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return and data for the mandatory remittance of the Tourist Tax (Kurtaxe).

Automated decision making

Im Eifel Gasthaus makes decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without the presence of a human being (for example, an employee of Im Eifel Gasthaus). This concerns the automated sending of confirmations, payment requests or otherwise related to the booking of an accommodation.

Im Eifel Gasthaus does not post (email) addresses and phone numbers on its website, of for example guests who have had a stay at Im Eifel Gasthaus and leave a message in the guestbook even if the guest has entered it himself. Submissions are first checked for this and the relevant information is made invisible/removed, only then is the message posted.

Retention period personal data

Im Eifel Gasthaus will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected.

We no longer store personal data as strictly necessary or required by law.

Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, at the latest within four weeks. You always have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority.

We cannot and may not delete your data if German law does not allow this.
