The experience of Kees Bal

Dear André and Kirsten,

Our cycling club TGV from Goes (the Netherlands) spent a long weekend in the Eifel with 15 fanatical members.

At 3 hours drive from Zeeland you are in a completely different environment than in our beautiful Zealand where we as an active touring club know every road. Then a challenge in the Eifel Mountains is a welcome change. A beautiful area where you can easily get your altitude meters, but where you can also make miles along the Moselle.
We stayed there at Im Eifel Gasthaus run by André and Kirsten, and this couple has a great Cycling Hotel here.

The accommodation exudes all cycling and everything is there for the most pampered cycling tourist.

I saw here, as a former professional cyclist and winner of the Tour of Flanders, a lot of opportunities for the current generation of cyclists to prepare here for an important period in the season. At both Continental and Pro Continental levels and even for World-tour riders, this environment can be a welcome change within the preparation.

André and Kirsten provide nutrition that is tailored to the needs of the cyclist and they can take dietary requirements into account down to the smallest detail (calorie).

After training, the laundry is completely taken care of and the workshop is set up to maintain the bike to perfection.

This location that can be reached after a tough climb (for us) in a beautiful setting where it is excellent to relax after a training or tour.

We enjoyed this place and made nice climbing miles. And have found that as a cyclist you can prepare for set cycling goals here in a car-free environment at a short distance from the Netherlands and Belgium.
